Hi, my name is Kevin Boyd speaking on behalf of Earth Care Solar , Inc. Earth Care has been in business since 1992. They hold the utility patent pending utilizing The Peel and Stick Solar Charging Systems for Golf Carts, Boats, & Motor Homes.

Thank you for taking the time to allow me to explain our technology. In addition I want to present a good overview of our business. All of our products have been designed with the mission field in mind. In fact back in 2004 our out reach team was one of the first to answer the call of those in need after the Tsunami. We furnished wind energy, solar power, and water purification units to local field hospitals. His background for over 21 years was in Air Purification, Water Purification, Wind Energy, Solar Energy, Oil field Production, on shore and off shore facilities.

These systems can be used for any job that you need powered. There are some instances where there is not enough flat surface area to install the recommended size panel that will be most beneficial to your need. That problem has recently been solved by simply applying Plexiglas , then applying our Peel and Stick Solar Panels.

I am sure you are asking how the watts compare to the mono crystalline ,crystalline or crystalline/amorphous combination panels. The founder of the company has been an authorized instructor through a major University for many years. His emphasis over those years was water and waste water courses, distant learning, continuing education. Air Purification, and now Solar Air Purification came as a natural while attending field exercises with South West Wind on top of Beach Mountain meeting the professors and student from Appalachian College. He quickly learned how horizontal Wind Energy units were built and how they perform . This led to an intense study on how to build the Vertical Wind Energy Units.

While taking this time to learn and invent more green products, he begun working on building a Solar Golf Cart. This was accomplished about 13 years ago. A write up appeared in the Browns Field Magazine. He made the system work, but did not patent the utility system. The question comes up quite often , Why Not? The answer remains the same, the Mono or Crystalline Panels are a hoax when installed on any type of movable property.

He ask people all the time this question. Does your carts face the south at all times. They always say no. I then ask them if they have ever seen one rare up on its own. Bottom line folks utilizing these types of solar panels, they must be installed and at all times face the South and they must be tilted up 45 degrees. The reason is simple, these types of panels all work on peak sun shine.

Our product , The Peel and Stick does not have to face the south. The panel works on light, from day light until dark panels are producing amps. Here is the way we would like to answer that big question you want to know the answer to. “How many watts does your panels have? How do they compare in watts against the glass type panels? In the south if a mono or crystalline panel shows 150 Watt or any location in hot weather, you divide the claimed watts by two. In high temperature these type panels loose around 50% . So you are starting off on half the watts of the panel.

If you place your hand on the top over just one diode, the whole top shuts down. If one of the diodes crack or stop working, you end up throwing the complete solar panel away. Now we are creating the damage to the environment instead of being able to claim we are going green helping the environment., by filling up our garbage dumps. The worst part about these products is they are not even produced in America most of the time.

Did you know if you call out someone to install solar on your home, meaning mono crystalline type panels, and you tell the contractor to install those panels on the North, East or West side of your home, they will refuse and drive away. Why . They only work facing the South.

Our product can be place North, South , East, West . If it becomes cloudy, rainy or snow the mono and crystalline panels either stop working completely or they barely produce amps.The amorphous combination of crystalline work somewhat , but they are shielded with a brittle cover that makes direction very important to performance. Our Peel and Stick Panels work in cloudy weather, rainy weather, in fact snow enhances light, and in turn our panels produce more amps. Test have been conducted where holes were shot through the system, it continues to work. Now the US Navy, Border Patrol, and NASA, Universities, Zoo’s, Theme Parks, and Commercial Companies are utilizing our product in different parts of the world. Many calls come in everyday with questions about our systems availability to do many different things. Some of these calls are people that want to become a dealer. I will go over some of those questions and answer those on this audio.

Question One-Do I ever have to charge my utility cart by plugging into electricity. The answer is YES. We recommend anytime your batteries get down to 50% charge. Reason! You do not want to damage your batteries.

Question Two- How many days does it take to fully charge my utility cart if I just leave it out in the sun? First of all we teach that solar charging systems will eventually charge your cart. We ask you to read our testimonials on the web site where actual independent test have been completed by experienced Golf Cart Dealers. Our normal answer is if your cart is down to about 50% charge leaving your cart out should bring the charge back up to 85 percent in about 3 days. All this depends on how strong your batteries are, how old they are, does your motor have any power problems, are there any wiring problems, are the battery post kept clean, are the bearings on your cart defective, so the answer to distance gained or batteries being charged back all depends on many factors. Bottom line distance normally gained is about 25- 32 %, if all mechanical components are working fine.

Question Three-Can you charge your cart while the solar top is still connected and does the solar charging system charge at the same time. The answer is simply YES!

Question Four- How do I know what size top I need to install on my cart. We ask you to consider all the mechanical problems that could be existing, then we ask what kind of terrain you are traveling, and the distance you intend traveling each trip or day. You may have a Club Car Precedent or an EZ-GO RXV which comes with a very small flat surface on the top. In fact 26.5 inches by 51 inches. Our smallest unit for Golf carts is cut to fit this size.

This is fine for casual driving, but if you are running in sandy areas, very hilly ground, carrying heavy loads you may not experience long extra distance, but you will enjoy the distance the cart was intended to go without all the obstacles. Independent test have proven 52 to 144 holes of golf with different golf carts. This same cart , utilizing Plexiglas, installing a slightly larger top 37.2 inches X 48 inches ads a whole different dimension for your results you are seeking. Going even further an extended top of 37.2 inches X 72 inches producing 5 amps exceeds your expectation in distance , endurance, and makes up the deficiency of mechanical negatives that could be occurring .
For those special tops 37.2 inches X 112 inches producing over 8 amps guarantying you higher proficiency . So the bottom line is making sure you match your cut of solar to your need. As an add on accessory you may choose to select a larger roof top.

Question Five – How does your Peel and Stick Solar compare in watts to the glass or plastic mono and Crystalline and even the Crystalline mixed with Amorphous solar tops ?
Great Question, We try to educate folks everyday when dealing solar and wind energy. Certainly watts are important in determining the difference in those types of competitor products, but means little to our Peel and Stick Technology. One has to consider we are not comparing apples to apples. We have come up with a simple and understandable scenario for you to evaluate. Before we begin with this answer a short statement must be made about efficiency. Some of these folks claim high wattage and higher efficiency in order to sell their products. All solar units excluding our Peel and Stick , in high temperatures as we have in the south lose 50% of their wattage and all that is advertised to come with it. Next one crack in a diode, your complete panel is of no value. One cloud comes over the efficiency means nothing. The watts mean nothing .
Having made these statements let us present this question to you. If the glass/plastic type Mono, Crystalline, Combo type products must face the sun to gain peek energy and that peek time is 5 hours per day , given the best day , lots of sun, and their unit produces 3 amps during those energy draws, doesn’t that equal to 15 amps per day going into your batteries? Now on the other hand , our Peel and Stick Units work on light, drawing energy from day light until dark , and our unit is producing 3 amps, three X 10 equals 30 amps per day. Whose unit produces the most amps per day into your batteries, NO MATTER what Watts are claimed. Lets cut our unit back to 2 amps X 10 hours Whose unit still produces the most amps in your batteries per day. Then think about this on days when our competitor units can draw no sun energy, on a rainy day, a snowy day, who produces the most amps in your batteries?

Question-Seven How does Thin Film Amorphous Silicon Solar work?

By having the ability to lay down three separate layers of amorphous silicon, each tuned to a different frequency of sunlight. This created a cell with three active semiconductor layers, called a “triple-junction” cell. The top active layer in a triple-junction cell captures a portion of the solar spectrum, and the remaining sunlight penetrates to the second layer, which captures another part of the solar spectrum, and likewise for the third and final layer. As a result, the cell converts more of the solar spectrum into electricity, achieving higher conversion efficiency. This technology works well on residential and commercial roofs as well.

Question – Eight How much power does the Thin Film Amorphous Silicon Solar Panel provide?

This breakthrough technology eliminates the old thinking that the amps produced is exactly what you have to charge your batteries. Our technology, producing from three different levels seems to provide extraordinary amounts of energy the more your cart demands. We are seeing in some cases days without charging.
The Thin Film Amorphous Silicon Solar System is designed to charge a 12-24-36-48-72 volt battery systems by supplying a minimum of 2.0 to 3.0 amp +- amps constantly directly to a battery bank. Extended tops systems will supply a minimum of 4.0 to 8.0 amps constantly.

Our newest technology being delivered in two and three separate thin line panels has the potential to deliver up to 3-8 amps. When the vehicle is in direct sunlight, the battery is constantly recharging itself through the solar panel and unlike those old, heavy solar panels; our thin film amorphous silicon solar panel will continue to charge even in cloudy and shady conditions. Our product will produce volts under fluorescent lighting.

Question – Nine Do you have your controller manufactured to match the need of the 15 volt Peel and Stick System

Yes , Just as important is our solar Peel and Stick Solar Tops are our special built controllers. Many have tried to duplicate our systems utilizing other controllers and have not received the same positive results. Most small controllers over 12 volts are not even water proof. Our controllers are simple to operate, pre wired for easy connect, and water proof.

Question – Ten How does the Thin Film Amorphous Silicon Solar System help keep our environment clean?

According the EPA, “For every 1.0 kilowatts of electricity generated by solar power, nearly 2.5 pounds of carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere. (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency)
Using solar power rather than fossil fuel power on the golf cart reduces the CO2 released into the air by 452 pounds per year.”

Question – Eleven How does the solar roof panel fit with our nation’s vision of energy revolution?

With our present economy and the shortage of fuel produced in America, we have only one choice. The choice is to Going Green. Question – Twelve How does solar power affect the vehicle?

We have found that the panel increases the range of the vehicle between charges by an average of 25 to 32%. Another benefit competitors are claiming is that their solar will extend the battery life by giving the batteries a continuous charge. Earth Care chooses not to make this claim because scientifically this has not been tested and proven. We have seen in the field battery life extension over the last two years. Although it is a known fact that active charging reduces sulfur content of the lead cells in batteries, the number one cause of battery failure.

Also, the vehicle is a portable solar generator. If the regular power goes out, you can install an optional 12 volt plug so you can plug 12 volt appliances into it such as a small TV, lights, radio and even a small refrigerator. (Think of the possibilities during hurricanes, winter storms, earthquakes, etc.) If you plug an inverter into the 12 volt socket, you can operate regular 110 volt appliances off of the batteries!
Finally, the Earth Care Solar Top has no moving parts and is designed to last many years, assuming it is not damaged by an accident. The Earth Care Solar Top will never lose its value and, when sold to a new owner, that owner will be able to take the tax credits if they are still available at that time.

Question – Thirteen How does the tax credit work?

As of January 1, 2006, an investment tax credit for utilizing solar went into effect. IRS form 3468 line 2b allows for a 30% tax credit for investing in solar. The solar panel and the batteries are all part of a solar system on the vehicle. Please be aware the tax codes change, especially in this economy, so make sure you contact your CPA or Tax Attorney to stay in compliance.

If you have an EIN # and chose to write off your cart as a lease or purchase over 5 year period, you will achieve up to 155% of you investment back. If you chose to take the deduction at the end of the first year, you will receive a one time credit of 30%. Your state incentives may increase this amount. In addition you will be able to write off approximately $325.00 per year for you battery system. Check with your local CPA for exact deductions and/or credits.

It is our understanding an individual will receive the 30% first year credit and the yearly battery system tax advantages. In addition, if you purchase a new set of batteries at the same time you purchase your solar system, it is our understanding you get to deduct the full amount of those battery cost. Again, check with your CPA.

Question – Fourteen What are the practical benefits of our Solar Golf Top Kit?

Yes, the closer to the equator (higher temperatures) the less amps , the closer to the North (Colder Weather) more amps-The amps posted on the technical information written on our web sites are based on Central USA and may vary according to temperature.
